Local Entrepreneurs Meet Growing Demand for Home Care Services in Greater Genesee County
FirstLight Home Care now providing caregiver services to clients in Grand Blanc, Lapeer, Fenton, Flint
FLINT, MI – November 8, 2018 – FirstLight® Home Care, an award-winning provider of non-medical home care, has expanded to Greater Genesee County. Local entrepreneurs Bruce Lundeen and Bryan Carto own the FirstLight location, which delivers non-medical companion care and personal care services to residents in Grand Blanc, Lapeer, Fenton, Flint and several other local communities.
“I have been part of this community my entire life and have always wanted to give back,” said Lundeen. “After more than 28 years in education, helping young adults obtain their personal and professional goals, it was a seamless transition to continue my desire to impact the lives of those in need of quality, compassionate caregiving services.”
FirstLight Home Care of Greater Genesee County specializes in caring for seniors, new and busy mothers, those recovering from illness, injury or surgery, military veterans and adults with disabilities. The company’s highly-trained caregivers help with many needs – from cooking, cleaning and transportation, to mobility assistance and dementia care.
Carto added, “My mother has been a dementia patient for several years, which has impacted my life and sparked my interest in the home care industry. The goal for our FirstLight business is to provide quality in-home care that allows adults the opportunity to remain safe and independent in their own homes.”
Jeff Bevis, CEO and co-founder of FirstLight Home Care, says Lundeen and Carto have a true passion for entrepreneurship and a heart for caring for others. “We’re confident the services provided by Bruce, Bryan and their team of caregivers will have a positive, lasting impact on the clients and communities they serve.”
FirstLight Home Care of Greater Genesee County also is seeking exceptional individuals to join its caregiver team.
