Home caregivers allow seniors option to remain in their homes
Mar. 19, 2016 – Having one caregiver five days a week works for Shelba Scarbrough. “When I first came home from the hospital I had one coming in in the morning and one coming in at night,” Scarbrough said. “It got kind of old.” After Evelyn Watkins started at Scarbrough’s home several months ago, both knew they’d found a good match. “She and I have hit it off from day one,” Watkins said. “And never ever is it boring.” Matching caregivers to clients is what FirstLight Home Care does. It and similar companies provide non-medical care for people who need help around the house and companionship.
