Craig and Dana Harvey never anticipated that in 2013 they would be owners of a Hudson Valley home care agency today. Craig worked for one of the largest Dialysis Companies in the world, managing 2 separate facilities, one in Pennsylvania and one in New York. He oversaw the work of many dedicated Doctors and Nurses who passionately cared for patients with chronic kidney failure and who depended on dialysis for survival. Many of their patients were elderly and/or disabled and could use the services of a compassionate home care agency to assist them with the daily activities of their lives. So when Dana mentioned to Craig that she was interested in opening a home care business, to Craig it made perfect sense. With aging parents of their own and with most adult children of the elderly working, there is a struggle to help their loved ones stay in their homes or care for them in their own homes while they work. Craig and Dana’s own grandparents were in nursing homes and they had planned on doing everything possible to prevent that from happening to their parents. They knew they could make a difference. Thus began a long process to find the right home care agency to partner with, one who could bring experience and best practices to the table as well as a passion for caring. This led them FirstLight Home Care. The Executive Team at FirstLight Home Care has over 87 years of home and senior care experience and they have developed many unique and differentiated programs to help people stay in their homes comfortably and safely. This combined with Craig’s healthcare management and operational experience, gives FirstLight Home Care Hudson Valley the foundation needed to provide the best quality home and senior care in the Mid-Hudson Valley.

Briana Russo, FirstLight Home Care Hudson Valley’s Care Coordinator, is a lifelong resident of Goshen, NY. She graduated from Southern Wesleyan University in South Carolina with a degree in Psychology. While working in a nursing home during her final year of college, she maintained her standing on the Dean’s List and President’s List. In addition to her nursing home experience, she brings an enthusiasm and desire for helping people. We are thrilled to have her on board.
