In-Home Care Services Throughout McHenry
We know your first priority when choosing a home care provider is finding someone you can trust and rely on… someone who will care for your loved one as you would, and as we would our own. We’ve been where you are, and this is one of the main reasons we chose to be in this business.
Prior to opening FirstLight Home Care of NE McHenry County, Sande Sherman spent more than 25 years working in the human resources field. Most recently, she worked as a human resources executive at CDW in Vernon Hills, IL for 15 years. For the past year, Sande owned and operated a human resources consulting practice. After learning about the in-home care industry, Sande knew that she had to be a part of it. She fell in love with the fact that she could make a difference in people’s lives, particularly in her home town.
Sande is a native and life-long resident of the McHenry area and continues to be involved with the Leadership Committee at St. Peter United Church of Christ in Lake Zurich. She is also on the board of the Community Youth Network in Grayslake. In her free time, Sande enjoys playing golf (even though she’s not very good), boating and swimming. She is also crazy about cooking, baking, Sudoku and playing cards.
Sande’s family has deep roots in the community as well and small businesses in their blood. Her father, John Sherman, owned Sherman Plumbing and Heating, a company that was in Crystal Lake until he sold it about 17 years ago (now it is known as Sherman Mechanical in Cary). He was highly involved in the Crystal Lake Community Chamber.
Sande looks forward to providing McHenry home care through compassionate caregiving and helping seniors and those with dementia stay in the comfort of their homes.
FirstLight will service residents of Algonquin, Cary, Crystal Lake, Fox Lake, Huntley, Island Lake, Lakemoor, Lilly Lake, McHenry, Union, Volo, Wauconda and Woodstock.
