How Much Care Do You Need?

Costs are based on the unique needs of your situation and the amount of time you need assistance per day. We can provide companion and personal services from just a few hours at a time to live-in or 24/7 support.

Charles needs
4 hours per day

Charles is still mostly independent, perhaps living alone. But due to some mobility issues, he needs a little extra help with daily tasks. This could include help with bathing and dressing for the day, light housekeeping, meal prep, grocery shopping and other errand running.

Margaret needs
12-16 hours per day

Margaret may live with a family member who is her primary caregiver, but she can’t be left alone due to memory issues or a severe disability. Her main caregiver may work outside the home during the day and has evening activities and responsibilities that they must attend to, needing someone they trust to be with Margaret when they cannot be.

Nancy needs
24/7 or live-in-services

Nancy cannot be left alone, but lives alone or with someone else who is unable to assist her. In this case, there are two options: 24/7 services, where FirstLight team members attend to personal and companion service needs in 8-hour shifts; or live-in services, where team members are assigned to 2- to 3-day shifts in the client’s home but are also able to get a full night’s sleep in their own space during that time. This scenario is common for those clients with memory issues, a severe disability with little to no mobility, or another major health issue such as paralysis due to a stroke. Please contact your local FirstLight office to discuss if this service is available.
