A recent health condition made it difficult for me to prepare meals for myself. As a result I was relying on frozen dinners and unhealthy carry-out foods. My sons suggested I get some assistance from FirstLight. I pampered myself by having a caregiver come in for a few hours twice a month to prepare healthy meals with only foods that I like!

FirstLight Home Care’s caregivers are trained to work with people with Alzheimer’s. They come a few hours each day to make sure mom takes her medication, gets her shower and is eating. They also do activities to keep her mind and body active. Now we are all happier.

I have had a great experience with FirstLight Home Care. Would definitely recommend. It has helped us greatly with my dad who is paralyzed. The aide has been very polite and sweet to my father, even when he is not so sweet! She has done everything with a smile, always on time. Was worried about using a service but it has been a great experience. Beth has been so helpful and makes it a point to call and check on us and make sure everything is up to our expectations.

First Light Home Care of Northern Kentucky is a wonderful provider of quality senior and disability care. After my 90 year old Aunt suffered a stroke in May 2015 she could no longer take care of herself. I found an ad in a Senior Care Magazine and contracted with Beth Steel, owner of First Light Home Care in our area to assist with the changing day to day, ‘new normal’ of living post-stroke, experienced by my Aunt.

My Mom was returning home after being in a rehab facility. I was concerned about her being home alone, so I arranged for FirstLight Home Care to stay with her for a week. Her caregivers were very attentive and got Mom back into the swing of things at the Senior Living community where she lives. While we no longer have a caregiver with Mom, they recommended a fall pendant that she wears that can detect when she falls and automatically makes the call for help. This gives me extra assurance mom is safe.
