FirstLight Home Care of Orlando Celebrates 10 Years in Business

Open house event and ribbon cutting to commemorate major company milestone

OVIEDO, FLORIDA – June 16, 2022 – Ten years ago, Karen Tucker opened a FirstLight Home Care location and began assisting seniors and other adults in need of in-home care services in Central Florida. On June 22, she will celebrate this milestone with her team, referral partners and the community.

FirstLight Home Care of Orlando provides companion care and personal care services to individuals who need support in the place they call home, including seniors, veterans, adults with disabilities, those recuperating and individuals living with dementia. Professional caregivers help with many needs, from companionship, transportation, and household tasks to individual responsibilities like bathing and personal hygiene.

Tucker’s first-hand experiences caring for her own aging family members led her to the home health care industry. With the aging population of baby boomers wanting to remain in their homes for as long as possible, she was inspired to start a home care company focused on building the finest team of caregivers in the industry to provide exceptional care to clients. She now owns and operates multiple FirstLight Home Care territories in Central Florida.

“My goal has always been to improve the health, well-being and quality of life for adults in our community who need extra support,” said Tucker. “It is an honor to be there and offer support to so many family caregivers who are helping their loved ones remain independent, safe and comfortable in the place they call home.
